Address by A. Aidarbayev, Chairman of the Management Board of NC KazMunayGas JSC, to the company's employees (Kazakh version)
Dear colleagues!
Dear colleagues!
I sincerely congratulate you on the Great Day of the Nation — Nauryz! By the Eastern calendar, Nauryz is the beginning of the year and a time of renewal in nature. It is the beginning of kindness and goodwill, friendship and love, peace and harmony, and of all our new undertakings. May every family be bathed in warmth and goodness, and may happiness and prosperity come to your homes.
Today the world and our country are going through the difficult situation of the coronavirus epidemic. The sharp fall in oil prices and instability on international financial markets are making the situation even more acute.
The Government of Kazakhstan is doing extensive work and taking special measures in good time to prevent the mass spread of the infection in the country. The National Company, which provides work for tens of thousands of people and contributes to the economic development of the industry, was among the first to support these measures and set three key priorities.
First, our employees and their families. Our goal is for all employees working in the KazMunayGas group of companies and its subsidiaries always to return home to their families safe and sound. Nothing is more important than well-being.
Second, ensuring the safety of production and the uninterrupted operation of all production facilities.
Third, close and comprehensive cooperation with government agencies and local akimats in preventing the spread of the coronavirus epidemic, informing the public and mobilising all efforts.
In this regard, I have signed orders and instructed the heads of all subsidiaries and affiliates to strengthen preventive measures.
Operational headquarters have been set up at all enterprises of the National Company, and an algorithm of actions during the coronavirus epidemic has been developed.
All production sites will be provided with the resources they need to operate without interruption. The supply of goods, works and services is under strict control. Coordination with contractors and service companies has been stepped up.
At such a difficult time for the country, I call on you, all my colleagues and your loved ones, to be as calm, prudent, patient and understanding as possible. I ask you to comply with all the requirements of our Government, to take care of your health and to follow all hygiene measures without fail.
The National Company will do everything it can to protect the health of its employees. For my part, I trust that each of you fully understands your responsibility for the safety of your family, your company and your country!
I believe that together we will overcome the current difficulties and become even stronger.
I wish you and your loved ones good health.
